By anchoring an ecosystem of science
National collaborations
There are many national Institutions that have the mission of promoting science in the country. ScienceAROUND will collaborate with these institutions such as the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), various national and regional science centers, the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), and so on.
International collaborations
Several institutions across the world also have the mission of promoting science. Among the prominent ones are the US’s NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), Natural History Museums in the US and UK, and several science centers in the US and Europe. ScienceAROUND will initiate collaborations with these institutions.
Distinguished scientists
ScienceAROUND will interact with eminent scientists to improve its offerings. The scientists range from Nobel prize winners such as Venkatraman Ramakrishnan to heads of eminent institutions such as S Sivan of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization), to those doing research in the frontiers of science..
Government at all levels
The government’s science policy has a massive influence on the conduct of science in the country. As such, ScienceAROUND will attempt to influence policy making, through engagements with government bodies such as the Department of Science and Technology (DST).
Science communicators
Apart from scientists, there are many popular influencers who are evangelising science. ScienceAROUND will connect with these communicators to promote ScienceAROUND and its activities. Prominent among them are Neil dGrasse Tyson, Richard Dawkins, Brain Greene, Atul Gawande and VS Ramachandran.
